Elsa Parra (née en 1990) et Johanna Benaïnous (née en 1991) sont deux artistes françaises qui collaborent depuis 2014 sous le nom de duo Elsa & Johanna. Travaillant à la croisée de la photographie, de la performance et de la vidéo, elles réalisent depuis leur rencontre des récits visuels dont elles sont les interprètes. Elles exposent au Salon de Montrouge, au MAC VAL, à Paris Photo et au Festival d'Hyères. En 2020, elles sont finalistes du Prix Découverte des Rencontres d'Arles et sortent leur premier livre photographique Beyond the Shadows. Fin 2021, Elsa & Johanna réalisent leur première exposition rétrospective au Musée d'art moderne de Karlsruhe en Allemagne. Elles exposent en 2022 au Studio de la Maison Européenne de la Photographie et sortent, la même année, une nouvelle monographie aux éditions The Eyes : “Ce que vaut une femme - Les Douze heures du jour et de la nuit”

Working at the intersection of photography, performance, and video, they have been creating visual narratives since their encounter, in which they play the central roles. They have exhibited their work at the Salon de Montrouge, the MAC VAL, Paris Photo, and the Hyères Festival.
